SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS #22 - V is for Vintage!

Hello Snarky Peeps! We have a new challenge this fortnight at the SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS! We are toning it down this go around. I guess. Maybe. Well, you'll see! It's V for Vintage!

Edna has the coolest toys!!! I'd be happy to be her designated driver if I got to drive around in this sleek little number! LOL!

Anyhooo, here is the card I created:

 And the inside:

Nothing screams vintage to me more than G45 papers, and when I saw this card by Robin Shakoor, I knew I had to CASE it! (Thank you Robin!) Inking and distressing the card panels lends to the vintage vibe of my card. And bonus, I used more chipboard pieces! Woot Woot! I found this gorgeous reddish/orange crinkle ribbon in my stash which paired beautifully with the colors in the paper collection. A stamped sentiment completes the inside. No snark this time. I just couldn't go there with this card! LOL!

So, ready to play along? Sure you are! Don't forget to link up your creation at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers! Oh, and please leave some bloggy love for my Sistahs, and our newest guest designer, Linda! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a fabulous day!

So, of course, I made a Christmas card!

 and the inside:

I just loved this cute little skiing bunny, so I had to use him. I found paper scraps to go with the colors I used and stamped my sentiment on all of them. I used a snowflake EF to add to the snow theme, and finished the inside with that bunny and another sentiment.

I can't wait to see what you create! Please join us at Just Us Girls for the Wild Card challenge! Be sure to see what our November guest designer, Tajanna, and my teammies created! Don't forget that if you are picked as Chic of the Week in November, you will be in the running for our guest designer for the month of January! Good luck and happy crafting! Have a great day!

JUST US GIRLS #268 - Photo Week

Hello crafty peeps! We have a new challenge at JUST US GIRLS! Cheryl is our hostess this week and she found this gorgeous photo as our inspiration:

To me, this had a Norman Rockwell type of vibe to it, so that's what I went with:

 Here's the inside:

I love it when the paper collection does all the work for you! LOL! I think what took the longest putting this card together was inking all the panel edges! ☺

Shopping Our Stash #178 - Thanks!

Good morning! It's time for a new challenge at SHOPPING OUR STASH! It's all about being thankful, whether it be a thank you/I'm grateful card, or a Thanksgiving card or project, with that holiday fast approaching in the States, we want to see it! Here's what I came up with:

 Here's the inside:

I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketch #162, which ended yesterday. (I'm always late to the party!) All the papers are from the same collection. I used this gold paper that has a subtle shimmer on it for the main panel and the inside. (That paper was really hard to photograph. It looks more like kraft, plus you can't really see the shimmer. But trust me, it's there!) I embossed it, which kind of distressed it in the process, but I liked how it looked so used it. (Like I meant to do that! LOL!) I broke off the shank on the flower button before gluing it down. I also went around the edges of the large panels with a gold pen. A simple sentiment finished the inside.

You can always use more thank you/thanksgiving cards. Why not link your new project up at Shopping Our Stash? While there, check out the amazing cards my teammies created and leave them some bloggy love. Thanks for hanging out with me! Have a great day!

SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS #21: P is for Profanity!

Yep, you read that correctly. This week's challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers is all about letting loose and swearing up a storm.....if you dare! You know my Sisters and I are all over this! LOL! Here's my PG rated card:

 and the inside:

Pretty self explanatory. My card is based off of Stella Says Sketch #218. When I upload my pic to our DT page, one of my Sistahs *cough, Jessi* made the crack that I didn't dare enough. Sooooooo:

and the inside:

My favorite swear word. ☺ It streams out my mouth at least 15 times a day. Jessi, I hope I have redeemed myself with this second card. LOL!

So, do you dare to swear? If you do, we want to see it! Just link up your card or project at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers! While there, check out what my Sisters, and our newest guest designer, Lauren, have created to turn your ears pink! LOL! Thanks for stopping by!

JUST US GIRLS #267 - Color Week

Hello and good morning peeps! It's COLOR Week at JUST US GIRLS! Sharyn is our hostess this week and wow! Did she pick some fabulous colors to play with!

I just love this inspiration picture she found. Here's the card I made:

 and the inside:
(Pay no attention to the fact that I stamped it crooked)

I think I must be the only paper crafter on the planet that doesn't own any square and rectangle Nesties. I cut all my panels with a trimmer. That poloroid shape is no exception, but it's easy to make: First I cut the rectangle then on the back I traced a square shape. Using an X-Acto knife, I cut an X in the square, then took scissors to cut out the square. The red paper is really bright, so I smudged the edges and random spots with gold chalk ink. I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment in champagne EP. (Note to self: Make sure the chalk ink is completely dry before heat embossing over it. The EP stuck to all the gold smudged places! GAH!!) After taking what seemed like for-ev-er to clean up that mess, I added the border punched trees and the blue DP on the back of the frame. Once the snowflake panel and the poloroid were adhered, I randomly dotted some of the flakes with gold Stickles, because - shiny!

Ready to play along? Sure you are, so don't forget to link up your project at Just Us Girls! While there, check out what my teammates, and our November GD, Tajanna, have made for your viewing pleasure! Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!

SHOPPING OUR STASH #177 - NOT Ready for Christmas

Hello peeps! We have a new challenge at SHOPPING OUR STASH that's all about NOT being ready for Christmas! What's that mean? Well, we want you to get out one of your gazillion Christmas stamp sets, and use a stamp from it to create something NON-Christmas. How's THAT for a challenge! LOL! Here's what I came up with:

 Here's the inside:

Using one of the ornament stamps from Paper Smooches All Yule Need set, I made a banner! The DP were all scraps. After stamping and fussy cutting, I punched holes in the tops then strung baker's twine through them. They are adhered with foam squares. Both sentiments are stamped in Peacock Feathers DI, then clear embossed. It's about as CAS as I get. ☺

I hope you get a chance to play along with this challenge. Just be sure to link up your project at Shopping Our Stash so we can be dazzled! Please check out what my teammates created for your viewing pleasure while there! Thanks for stopping by and I hope that you have a great day!

JUST US GIRLS #266 - Trend Week

Hello and good morning crafty peeps! Today is my turn as hostess at JUST US GIRLS! It's trend week, and I've picked the chalkboard effect as this weeks challenge!

This trend is still very hot in the paper crafting world, and I just love the look of it! Here's what I made:

Here's the inside of my card:

I carefully inked VersaMark over one of my embossing folders and 'stamped' it on a black card stock panel. Did the same with the sentiment then embossed it all with white EP. Pretty cool, huh?! I saw this done somewhere, sorry can't remember who, but knew I was going to try it! I took a cotton ball and dabbed it onto my frost white ink pad and randomly smeared it over the panel. Using white and maroon Prismacolor pencils, I doodled around the frame and filled in some of the design. I took a couple clear rhinestones and custom colored them to match with Spectrum Noir markers. Another sentiment finished the inside. My ode to vino! (I'm a wine drinker, and this stamp set SPOKE to me!! LOL!

I hope you get a chance to play along this week at Just Us Girls! Please check out the incredible projects that my teammates, and our November guest designer, Tajanna, have created! Remember that if you win Chic of the Week for any of our November challenges, you will be in the running to be our guest designer for the month of January!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a great day!

Not a creature was stirring....

Hello there. It's been a while since I created a card other than for my DT responsibilities, and so I'm remedying that right now. ☺ My EDMT (Evil Doublemint Twin), Jessi, created sketch #274 over at Tuesday Morning Sketches, and I wanted to play along! Also, my Snarky Sistah, Lindsey, is a new DT member over at Naughty or Nice challenges! Their challenge #9 is called Festive Furballs, so I'm adding this card over there too. Check it:

 Here's the inside:

That cute mouse is colored with SN markers. All paper is from the same collection. I was even able to use the last few dimensional stickers in the package I grabbed! Score! I fussy cut 3 of the poinsettias from the leftover scrap paper I used on the inside and, after sticking the ribbon stickers down, glued the 3 flowers over that. The red pearl clusters were also part of that sticker package, and since they were the only things left, I stuck them on two of the flowers. (One sticker package completely used up. Only a gazillion more to go!)

I'm also linking this card up at Some Odd Girl for their November Linky party. ☺

Thanks for hanging out, and if you get the chance, play along with these challenges! Take care.

SHOPPING OUR STASH #176: Leaf Me Alone

Hello and good morning to you all! For those participating, did you remember to turn back your clocks on Saturday? We forgot. I got up at 7:45 am only to realize that it was actually 6:45. Ah, Daylight Savings time in the fall: an extra hour of not being able to sleep! HA!

Anyhooo, for our next challenge at SHOPPING OUR STASH, we'd like to see a leaf or leaves on your project. Here's the card I made:

...and the inside:

I used the sketch from CTS#98 for my card. All paper and embellies are from the Nightfall collection. That black label was plain so I took a gold marker and doodled around it. Looked really cool....until I smudged it. Turns out, the labels are chalkboard labels. Ink doesn't dry on it. Oops. I'm just gonna say the smudges were put there on purpose, because I meant to do that! (wink) Anyway, a couple stamped sentiments and some added stickers later, and I was just about done. Then came the circle elements. What to do? What to do? Then: (insert brightly lit light bulb over my head here) You know how some 12" x 12" papers have that extra 1/2 inch strip at the bottom with the company name/collection/item#/etc? And some even have that part printed with designs to match said collection? Well this one did, and on one of them, there they were, the tiny little leaves, same size as the tree sticker had. So, yes, I fussy cut those little buggers and adhered them with glue dots. Thankfully, I only had to cut five of them. I like how it looks as though they are falling from the tree, and one was taken by a light breeze and got caught on the 'n'. ☺

Ok, so now it's your turn. You know you have paper/stamps/silk/etc. leaves in your stash - time to get those out and make something with them! Be sure to link up your project at Shopping Our Stash! Also, please check out what my teammates created and leave them some bloggy love! Thanks for hanging out with me. Hope you have a great day!

SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS #20 - Thanks (for nothing)

Hello and happy Saturday to you! Are you all still suffering sugar shock from sneaking all that Halloween candy last night?! LOL! Well, the SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS have a new challenge this fortnight, and it's all about THANKS! Simply make a Thank you or a Thanksgiving project. Easy peasy, huh? Here's what I made:

 Here's the inside:

Well, of course I had to have some snark on the inside! What cow wouldn't be thankful for turkeys this close to Thanksgiving Day?! LOL! Bessie here, is colored with SN markers, fussy cut and popped up with foam squares. I also added some Glossy Accents to her eyes. I used the center of the chain die cut that's on the front for the inside panel. Worked for me. ☺ Some alpha stickers finish it off nicely.

Ready to play along? Sure you are! Just link up your project at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers by 11:55 pm EST on November 14th. Please be sure to check out what my Sistahs, and our newest guest designer, Majo, have in store for you! Thanks for stopping by, and now, go forth and get your craft on!

JUST US GIRLS #265 Word Week - Wreaths

Hello crafty peeps! Are you all on candy overload from eating all that Halloween candy last night?! LOL!

We have a fun new challenge at JUST US GIRLS! Lisa is hosting this week and she picked the word Wreaths! Love it! Here's the card I came up with:

and the inside of my card:

I made a door! LOL! First time doing that, I think. I cut my card base and panels from brick colored card stock, then did some second generation stamping with a wood grain stamp for a bit of texture. I die cut the wreath twice from two different green DP scraps. Heat embossed the sentiments with champagne EP. After assembling everything together, I added the sequins and the metal dot for the door knob and I was done! What a fun way to use up those itty bits of scraps - I might make a few more like this!

Now it's your turn. simply create something with a wreath and link it up at Just Us Girls! While there, don't forget to visit the blogs of my teammies, and our new guest designer, Tajanna, and leave them some love. We can't wait to see what you create! Remember, if you are picked as the Chic of the Week during November, you will be in the running for our Guest Designer for the month of January! Good Luck, and thanks for stopping by!
